Committing to Sustainability and Making a Meaningful Contribution to Environmental Causes
At Turnstyle Designs, we are proud to be a member of the 1% For The Planet network. As a company, we are committed to sustainability and environmental responsibility, and being a part of this global movement aligns with our values and goals.
It’s vitally important for us to support local charities and 1% for the Planet provides the perfect platform for us to do this. We now donate 1.5% of our turnover annually to charities that provide a huge impact close to home such as the Devon Wildlife Trust. Our donations help them protect and restore the environment around us. It is really powerful to be able to visit the sites and see the direct impact our contribution has made. We are only ever encouraged to try and do more.
1% for the Planet is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2002 by Yvon Chouinard, the founder of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews, the owner of Blue Ribbon Flies. The concept behind 1% for the Planet is simple: companies pledge to donate 1% of their annual sales to environmental causes and organizations.
By joining 1% for the Planet, we are able to make a meaningful contribution to environmental causes and initiatives that align with our values. We believe that every small action counts when it comes to protecting our planet and preserving it for future generations.
As a member of 1% for the Planet, we have the opportunity to support a wide range of environmental causes, from protecting wildlife and natural habitats to promoting sustainable agriculture and reducing our carbon footprint. We are able to choose the organizations that we support, ensuring that our contributions are making a real difference in the areas that matter most to us.
CARBON NEUTRAL BRITAIN
Turnstyle Designs are a Carbon Neutral Organisation certified by Carbon Neutral Britain.
By Offsetting your Carbon Footprint – with projects to remove CO² from the atmosphere, you can balance out your emissions to become what is known as Carbon Neutral.
In addition to our financial contributions, being a member of 1% for the Planet provides us with a network of like-minded businesses and individuals who are committed to sustainability and environmental responsibility. We are able to share knowledge, ideas, and resources with other members, which helps us to continually improve our own sustainability practices.
