2022: Round up

January 10, 2023

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

2022 was a fantastic year for Turnstyle; lots of interesting projects completed around the world and some amazing hardware created for some of the most luxurious residences, hotels, and yachts. We proudly launched our new Brand Book which truly tells the story of the brand and scope of our handmade, artisanal product range.

Sustainable Living will be high on the agenda for Turnstyle is 2023 and hopefully for our clients also. We will be introducing several exciting new materials over the next twelve months, all in our luxurious styling and all with various sustainability credentials. Sustainability has been part of the Turnstyle DNA since day one and we will always continue to improve our production techniques and product offering with this at the forefront.

A huge part of our company ethos at Turnstyle is charitable giving. As proud members of 1% For the Planet, we donate 2% of our annual turnover to environmental causes, as well as 1% to mental health charities each year. Part of our ‘Years of Service’ incentive, we had three members of staff celebrate 10 and 20 years of service to the company. The staff can then donate to a charity of their choice on behalf of the company. This year’s choices were:

Care For Kids

Chemo Hero

Many Tears Animal Rescue

Macmillan Cancer Support

We also got involved in the ‘Big Give’ Christmas Challenge alongside Plastic Free North Devon, another charity we passionately support. The remaining budget, we set aside each year, was then split between new, topical charities like Feeding Britain, helping combat hunger in communities across the UK, and The Passage, transforming lives for the homeless.

After an incredibly strong response to our return at Decorex, we will be back in October 2023 and can’t wait to meet you all in person once more. We are pleased to announce we will also be exhibiting at ICFF (May) and Monaco Yacht Show (September) as well as taking part in London Design Week from our Chelsea Harbour showroom in the Design Centre, London.

Our departments have been busier than ever. We’ve welcomed many new faces to the Turnstyle family in both the UK and US. As always, we are very proud of our family run, North Devon based business and its continued hard work and achievements. We look forward to what 2023 has in store!

LATEST PRODUCTS

We had a busy last year here at Turnstyle Designs. In total we launched over 59 new products to our ever-growing collections. Ranging from completely new designs like the Bracket, to variations of other popular styles. They have all been very well received and we are already starting to see them being specified in many projects and future projects to come!

Stepped Range

Inspired by the Stepped Labyrinth collection, Turnstyle’s new range of door levers are scaled down versions of the stepped brass work with some of their best-selling grip designs.

The contemporary shaft profile is set on a very elegant flat rose, with a 22mm diameter and available in over 400 combinations.

Pipe Range

Our Pipe range of door lever handles has been extended with a selection of Amalfine™ grip designs, Faceted & Wire, solid and hammered.

These designs are ideal for those seeking an industrial-luxury style, with their large oversized design compliments the classic styling of our original door levers for Norton and Bonneville

part hammered

Part Hammered is a simple but very effective variation on the ever-popular Hammered range of door and cabinet hardware. The result is that the beautiful hand-hammered texture is framed between two polished ends and so accentuates the pattern, bringing out the detail even more than before.

bracket

Set either horizontally or vertically, this new versatile pull is going to look fantastic on transitional kitchens and cabinetry. Available in two different sizes as well as all of Turnstyle’ signature materials there are over 300 different finish combinations to choose from.

cabinet knobs

2022 introduced new designs to our growing cabinet knob collection.

Use them to upgrade your kitchen, bathroom or any room in the house.

additions to norton

Designed by Christina Roberts, these oversized, bold door levers were inspired by the classic Great British Motorbikes of the 1950s.

New additions of a Cabinet Knob, Door Knob and 16mm cabinet Pull have now been added to the Norton design meaning you can complete the look throughout any interior or room.

additions to 16mm

Adding to the most popular collection our new 16mm pull handles provide a larger grip perfect for cabinet doors and drawers.
