We’re going on a bear hunt – Supporting CHSW

The CHSW Bear Hunt will be launched in North Devon and will consist of 25 decorated
5 foot tall bear sculptures; painted by some of the best and most well-known local artists.
This year Children’s Hospice South West will bring businesses, arts and the local community together with an exciting public sculpture trail of 25 decorated bears in and around North Devon. The bears on the trail aren’t just beautiful pieces of art created by some of the most celebrated local artists; they represent the care our hospices offer families – they are ‘bears that care.’
The trail will be focused in North Devon and will include mini-trails or clusters of sculptures in these or similar locations: Barnstaple, Bideford, Torrington, Ilfracombe and South Molton. It will bring significant footfall and economic benefit to the host locations and surrounding areas.
Turnstyle Designs and a neighbouring company Atlas Packaging are proudly supporting the Children’s Hospice Bear Hunt 2023 and have welcomed a new member to their teams for its duration!
Proudly stood outside Turnstyle’s head office in Roundswell Industrial Estate and a stones throw from Atlas HQ, this particular bear was commissioned by local artist Jenny Pymont .
Introducing…’Top Bear’ Painted during two heatwaves of Summer 2022, this Bear is hot stuff! 😁🔥🌟 Inspired by Tom Cruises original ‘Top Gun’ film and his second film which premiered this Summer. I was also inspired by the RAF Red Arrows, this ‘Top Bear’ ‘feels the need, the need for speed!’ 😍❤️🚁🚀✈️
We hope he isn’t too much of a Maverick but we’re sure he’s going to make a great wingman!
It’s great to be part of this initiative and support such a worthy local cause. CHSW is an amazing organisation and is close to the heart of everyone at Turnstyle, we are always happy to support the fantastic work they do. ABOUT THE CHILDREN's HOSPICE SOUTH WEST
Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) supports more than 550 children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families across the South West. We are dedicated to making the most of short and precious lives at our 3 children’s hospices; Little Bridge House in Devon, Charlton Farm in North Somerset, and Little Harbour in Cornwall.
The hospices offer hospice care and stays for the whole family. Support includes specialist play, Music Therapy, activities for siblings; palliative, emergency and end of life care, as well as bereavement support and specialist medical care – all available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
During the coronavirus (COVID-19), Care Teams adapted their care to deliver help wherever and whenever families needed it, including at our hospices, over the phone, and for the first time, in families’ own homes.
